Advertising on screens in pharmacies and shops: how point-of-sale advertising works
FrameAds editorial team · Updated on
Digital screens at the point of sale show your advertising where purchase decisions are made – for example in pharmacies and shops. At FrameAds, these screens are bookable now, on their own or as an extension of a truck campaign. Large-format city screens in town centres are coming soon.
What is screen advertising at the point of sale?
The point of sale (POS) is where people buy – for example the sales floor or shop window of a pharmacy or store. Advertising on digital screens in these places is part of digital out-of-home (DOOH), i.e. digital advertising outside people’s homes.
Instead of printed posters, the screens play your content digitally. That means no printing, no installation – and your message reaches people at the moment they are already thinking about shopping.
Common terms include pharmacy advertising, shop window advertising, digital signage and in-store screens. Terms such as DOOH and POS are explained in our glossary.
Why advertise in pharmacies and shops?
- Close to the purchase decision: customers see your ad where they choose and buy products.
- Attention at the right moment: anyone standing in a shop is already in shopping mode.
- Digital instead of printed: your spots are played out – without printing or installation.
- Complements reach: truck advertising builds awareness, the screen in the shop reminds people just before they buy.
Which screens does FrameAds offer?
- In-store screens (bookable now): digital displays right where the purchase decision is made, for example in pharmacies and shops.
- City screens (coming soon): large-format LED screens on main roads and in town centres. You can register your interest now with no obligation.
Both offers can be booked independently of truck advertising. We agree locations, number of screens and duration with you.
Combining truck advertising and screens
The combination accompanies your target group all the way: on the motorway they see your brand on the truck, in the city on the city screen and in the shop on the display – just before they buy. Reach turns into a concrete impulse at the point of sale.
